Hi,
We have total 1196 data collection items on 94 nodes currently monitored
with retention time 30 days and different polling intervals (from 10 minutes
for disk space and till 5 seconds for CPU load).
There are 1292 thresholds configured for all this stuff, plus custom events
and quite complicated event processing policy.
In addition there are usually 1-3 people permanently connected with client
console viewing cpu and memory graphs in real-time for some of company test
servers (information for last 30 minutes with automatic refresh each 30
seconds).
MySQL is used as DB server.
Current database size is 2.4GB. Server startup takes about 2 minutes with
almost 100% CPU load.
After that during normal work peak CPU usage value for last 2 days as I see
is 67%, average - 19%.
Thanx to NetXMS team for tips about "fine-tuning". ;)
I'll try to find some time to put tuning hints to wikie if I'll remember
what I did with Your guidance.
Kindest Regards,
Igor Kopman,
Head of SysAdmin department,
C.T.Co SIA.

Unfortunatelly, we (developers) don't have a big network to play on. You can
try to extrapolate existing data to bigger network, or maybe someone start
to use NetXMS on a big network and will be so glad to report it's server
stats and usage. And you can try it on your own network... :)
Best regards,
Victor

Tnx for your answer, but I intrest how feels NetXMS for biger networks -
CPU utilization for managment server! For example server 1GHZ, 1024 RAM ,
xxx Nodes , pooling interval 1min - CPU utilization 25%.

To get total number of nodes and DCIs, on machine running NetXMS server run command nxadm -c "show stats" It will show you total number of objects, nodes and DCIs. Monitoring utilization of management server itself has no difference from monitoring any other server - you can get CPU utilization, free memory, etc. from NetXMS agent on that server. Note that object for management server itself created automatically, and DCIs for some internal NetXMS server parameters also created automatically. 2. Yes, NetXMS support data collection from SNMP. To collect SNMP data, you should create DCI with origin "SNMP agent", and enter OID as parameter (or use "Select" to select OID using MIB browser). Hi, 1) I intrest the caunt of nodes on some netxms server and server parametrs and duty - CPU, RAM . I saw in web page : C.T.Co monitoring * 85+ Nodes * 600+ Data Collection Items But can't find the server parametrs and duty. 2) Are there snmp data collection in NetXMS? Tnx for any replay.
