RE: Need Assistance - NetXMS Core will not start

Hello!

Most likely you have backend database and NetXMS server on same machine.
If you shutdown your machine, there is no guarantee that NetXMS Core
service will be stopped before database engine service, so NetXMS Core
may not have chance to write all data to database and remove database
lock. You can try to set service dependency manually, so NetXMS Core
service depends on database engine service, to ensure correct service
startup and shutdown order.

As a workaround, you can also add --check-db command line option to
NetXMS Core service command line. This will cause NetXMS core to check
database and remove database lock before start.

Best regards,
Victor

I have a similar issue with my install of NetXMS. I have it installed
in a Win2K box.
What I have to do each time I reboot the machine is to run the nxdbmgr
check routine to unlock the database, then I can go to the win2k
services panel, start the core and everything is great until the next
time.

If someone can explain also what I am doing wrong, please enlighten me.

Ok....this is a new one, For some reason NetXMS core will not
start....consequently, I cannot log in. Agent and web server start
fine, but not the core. Are there any reasons the core would not start?
Is there a config file I can check?

Windows XP pro
Mysql 5.0 - running

If I have to re-install......How do I keep my data?

Thanks,
Sam
