Hello Victor,

yes i want to edit the Alarm only once (in the policy rule).
Because of this i have only one email Action per User.
Can the Alarm-text be given as macro to the "Action"-Messagetext?

thanks for your help

Hello!

Do I understand you correctly? You wish to have possibility to use text of the alarm in e-mail actions placed on the same policy rule, so you can define this text only once?

Best regards,
Victor

Subject: [netxms-users] customise Alarm in Event Processing Policy Editor

Hello,

first of all congratulations for that software. It works very fine! I have a question about configuration of the "Alarm"-Section in the "Event Processing Policy Editor". Is it possible to setup one "Alarm"-Command
(f.e.: USV, Message: %m
Host: %n) for
"Alarm Browser" and the "Action"-"Messagetext" as well?
The Advantage will be a simplified Configuration for "Alarm Browser" and "Action".

Example-Configuration (current):

Event Processing Policy Editor
==============================
Alarm
-----
Server, Message: %m Host: %n

Action
------
Mail User

Action Configuration
====================
Mail User
---------
Send e-mail
...
Message text
Server, Message: %m Host: %n

Mail Server User
---------
Send e-mail
...
Message text
Client, Message: %m Host: %n

The Alarm-Text of "Action"-Command and "Action"-Messagetext in "Event Processing Policy Editor" are the same. In Fact of this, i have a lot of additional "Action"-Configuration for one user. Exactly one Action per group (Server, Client, ...).

If such Setting(s) not implemented yet, that can be a usefull extension for a future version.

thanks for your help

cu
