A few times I have made changes to the Windows template under \Templates\Operating Systems, only to find that it somehow automatically reverts overnight. Do the pre-built templates get recreated on a schedule somehow?

If you restarted the server process and have ServerConfiguration->ImportConfigurationOnStartup set to 1 then it will overwrite templates and scripts.  This bit me a few times before I noticed it.

I was burned by this as well a number of times.  Seems like the default on this should be the OPPOSITE to me.  After an initial import I am not sure why you would want this resetting everything each time anyhow.

Victor can you consider changing this default or explain why you might want it importing on every server restart?

Hi,

the idea was to be able to provide updates for default templates with new server versions - for example new parameters or fixes in configuration. But seems that it brings more troubles then benefits.
