Title: SSH Key Authentication
Post by: Woody on March 02, 2020, 08:42:12 PM
Hello,
can you please add SSH Key Authentication, because it's more secure than passwords. Public key encryption ensures that passwords need not be sent over the network, providing an additional layer of security. SSH keys are an excellent way to stay secure and compliant with various regulations and mandates, provided that you use best practice to generate, store, manage, and remove them.
So it would be nice to have this in the next NetXMS update.  :)

Best regards
Woody

Hi  Woody :)
we sadly are also slowly being mandated to do it from regulation point of view and best practice.

Is it mean for authenticating NetXMS users, or for use with SSH connections from NetXMS to devices? Because latter is already implemented for some time.

Hi Victor
When I replied to the post 2FA was not in and I was still learning Netxms (Still are ;) ). I might have misunderstood the initial post but I agree SSH pass wordless logins to agents are available. I have not used it yet though.

Thank you for all the work and support.
