Hello everyone, we had started using NetXMS a while ago and have started to get a hang of it.
Our aim is to automatically monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic on the links between hosts on the Network Map but are unable to do it.
For that:
- We were successful in creating a filtered Network Map through auto-discovered hosts which only allowed a particular set of discovered hosts along with its connectivity links.
- We also created a template which create DCIs for Incoming and Outgoing traffic in bits.
So, upon adding two nodes in the template, we get the DCIs automatically created on the nodes. We have to manually add data sources to the link to get traffic on the links. But, how to automatically add Data Sources on Links??
We have approximately 100 hosts on our Network Map so manually creating data sources on the links would be time extremely consuming.
We would appreciate any help to our problem.

Currently it's not possible to automatically add data sources to map links. We have plans to implement it though.

Oh okay, no worries.
I guess we'll have to find another way to populate our links, whilst waiting for the feature to release ;)
Not to sound rude, but I have another question if you don't mind answering: When will this feature be released (approximately)?
Cause if it's in near future we'll find a temporary solution somehow and wait for it to be released.

I hope we will be able to make it part of 4.0 release (likely in autumn). It's not a firm commitment though and will be dependent on time and resource availability.
