Hi,

I recently experience server crashes, crash dump mentions something with access violation.
Before last crash what i did was:
created 3 instance discovery dci's, but when i tried to poll configuration, server crashed.
In any case, I sent dump to [email protected].

Thanks in advance,
Nikk

Hi Percy,

Actually I did nothing, the problem just disappeared. And I'm not a big expert in these dumps, better send them to [email protected]!

hey nikk,

i have one more question.... nikk i want to monitor the few selected interfaces of router but when i add router it discover all the interfaces how to remove the other interface which i don't want to monitor.

thank you
Percy

Nikk

What do you want to monitor? Interface status, packets, errors or other things?

Percy

hi nikk,

Packets ( in and Out) at the interface.

percy

Nikk

Then under your router device (where are all the interfaces) just choose your interfaces and create data collection items.

Percy

hi nikk,

i am really sorry for disturbing you again and again.
but what i need is that when i apply template to the router than i check the data collection configuration for that node . it shows the DCI for all  interface. how to remove the interface from the node before applying the template. so that it will give the DCI for the remaining interfaces.

thank you

Nikk

So you are using instance discovery, i suggest reading this post: https://www.netxms.org/forum/configuration/instance-discovery-filter-scrip/msg12108/#msg12108

But in my case, i didn't succeed to remove unnecessary interfaces, because of non-zero values.

Percy

hi nikk,
thanks a lot for replying and helping me. i will try that hope it will work.

thank you
