Title: Network Maps decoration broken after upgrade to 1.2.3
Post by: riaanjvr on October 29, 2012, 03:37:32 PM
Hi
I was running NetXMS 1.2.1 and then upgraded to version 1.2.3 - since the upgrade the Network maps has some issues with manual layout not wanting to stay as they are saved, but more important - the group box decoration cannot be moved anymore. You cannot select the group box at all.
Also you cannot add an image like a switch onto the map, only actual nodes.

Thanks it is still an awesome NMS platform!

Hi!

Group boxes can be selected and moved again. They also can be resized. There are still couple of small glitches related to decoration layer, hopefully I'll fix it in 1.2.5.

What do yo mean by "cannot add an image like a switch onto the map, only actual nodes"? You need to add just image, or object?

Best regards,
Victor

Sometimes you have a device in the network not under your control or it is unmanaged but you still want to show it on the map; like a switch or something

Hi!

You can create unmanaged node or container and put it on the map.
