Hi,

I'm trying to run the netxms client on my pocket-pc. And the client starts as it should, but when connecting it tells me that it can't connect because of incompatible protocol..

Now I've been googling but it's impossible to find anything about the pocket pc netxms client. Not here (except for the download) and even less on google.

Can somebody tell me how to get this working or point me to the documentation that I apparently missed?

Hello!

There are so low demand for PockePC client, so we often forgot to rebuild it for new versions :( Currently, last available version of PocketPC client is 0.2.18, while server version is 0.2.19. I will build version 0.2.19 of the pocketPC client and put it on the web in the next few days.

Best regards,
Victor

Awsome! thnx

I'd like to compile them myself, but I don't think it'll build succesfully on a BSD platform..
And Windows compilers probably aren't free.....

Actually, for PocketPC they are free. Embedded VC++ can be downloaded freely from Microsoft web site:

I suppose this isn't documented  :-\
I'll try the documentation in the source code, but if anyone has some extra info that might help me with compiling for pocketpc... I never compiled anything except a "hello world" thingy on windows

I tryed.... I just can't get it to build anything   :'(

Could you please put a recent version online?  :-[

possamai

so.... can somebody compile that pocketpc version please  :-[

Victor Kirhenshtein

We will, sorry for delay :( I just realize that Embedded Visual C++ crashes on my Windows Vista, so I have to install Windows XP somewhere first, and prepare all the required environment... It just requires some spare time.

Microsoft Virtual PC might be a nice solution.. Always nice to have an XP machine lying somewhere on a harddrive :)
I'd prefer VMware, but the workstation version isn't free and MS Virtual PC is...
And VMware server might be a little overkill
