Title: Procurve node corrupted in database
Post by: Goriem on August 13, 2014, 02:30:12 PM
Hi

I have a number af Procurve switches that i would like to monitor with Netxms, some 5406zl and some 8212zl models

now my problem is this, i have added 2 8212zl nodes and one is monitored correctly in netxms the other one is not. i know that snmp works correctly on both. I have other monitoring software that are able to communicate with both.

It looks like there was a problem with either switch or netxms or both the first time i tried to add the switch that does not monitor correctly, and now even though i remove and readd the node it still wont use snmp for communication.

is there a way to completely remove a node with all informations from the db or do i have to reintall netxms? and if so is there a way to export / import all my other functioning nodes and dci's / template - the works?

I still have this issue, all other switches are monitored with snmp except this one, and as stated, i can monitor this switch with other snmp aware products, so this leeds me to belive that the netxms db is in someway corrupted regarding this node, is there someway to clean up after a corrupted node discovery?

Are you using SNMPv3?

Also, what build of NetXMS?
