Hi,
I have the server installed on a hosted VPS. Agent is installed behind a firewall.

I opened firewall to agent port TCP 4700, and opened the NAT rules. I also opened the local firewall on the actual client.

For some reason the management console is still showing as node down.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

Is the node defined with the agents ip or the firewalls?

the agent is behind a firewall, so it's defined with the external IP address

Then my next step would be to set the debuglevel on the agent to at least 5 and then telnet to agentsexternalip port 4700 then check the agents log file.

It seems the firewall rule the netxms client installer created was only for the public. I had to change it to domain as well - since I'm on a windows domain.

The issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your help!
