Hi,

I've installed new release 1.2.7 and agent as well on Linux CentOS.
Both agent and server logs do not show any error. When willing to define a collection data item, the list of possible parameters when "NXagent" is selected in "Origin" drop-down box is emtpy. Event those defined per default and those I defined while using previous releases are not shown! It seems the collection of older defined dat acollection item is still performed though.

Please advise on how to solve htis issue.

Many thanks
Best regards,

Did roll back to previous agent 1.1.10 for which it was working. But not anymore.
Seems like upgrade to 1.2.7 does not bring in the statistics available via the NXAgent and nxagentd.conf + scripts / etc.

Hi!

Can you please run configuration poll manually and see if anything changes? Also, please try to get data from agent from command line using nxget:

nxget -I agent_ip_addr

Hi Victor,

Did as suggested, from NetXMS 1.2.7 server run at command line as root 'nxget -I <agent_ipaddr>'. Did test this command on three different agents (2x v1.1.10 and 1x v1.2.7)
Result = success - all expected parameters are listed including those I've created and integrated in nxagentd.conf.

Anything you suggest for the NetXMS management console?
Because this prevents the definition of new data collection via the console.

So this seems to be a management console problem. Can you try to connect with different console? Also, sometimes it could be a problem if you unpack new version of management console over previous version. If this is he case, try to unpack console into empty directory.

Same here, new fresh install of 1.2.7 (first try of this tool). Empty list of possible agent values, empty list of Windows Perfomance Counters (i'm trying to poll localhost where my server is installed, winxp).

In the present scope, the console is deployed on a Windows XP PC.
Whenever I update the console, I always first remove the previous release.

So, I have just removed management console release 1.2.7.
We kept the server running release 1.2.7.

First feedback: console v1.2.5 does not work with server v1.2.7. we were using console v1.2.5 with server 1.2.5 prior to upgrade.

Installation of console v1.2.6 with all components and same directory structure as for 1.2.7. Console v1.2.6 seems to work with server v1.2.7 BUT same problem is reported: no supported parameter listed in collection parameter with origin set to NetXMS agent.

I guess something has changed from 1.2.5 to 1.2.6. The console v1.2.5 said that it could not connect to server 1.2.7 because communication protocol was different. Could that be the scope where to investigate?

Do you have web console deployed? Will be great to check if web console has same issue. I cannot reproduce this issue, but I run console on Windows 7. I'll try to check it on XP later today.

Also, on what OS server is installed?

Victor

Hi,

NetXMS server runs on Linux CentOS 6.3 kernel 2.6.32-279.14.1.el6.x86_64
We have Web Console 1.2.5 installed and it was clearly working with server 1.2.5. I just tried to log in but got access refused because "server uses incompatible version of communication protocol". We will get Web GUI updated to 1.2.7 and will test this. Results will be posted very soon.

Confirmation: list of parameters available in Web GUI v1.2.7

So issue seems to be restricted to Management Console v1.2.6 and v1.2.7

Maybe check whether you have Tomcat6 cleaned (cache and others) + restart

jdl

Do you have Tomcat6, Catalina, Web GUI working on a Windows OS?
Mine are running on CentOS 6.3
I had problems with a management console on a Windows XP

This could be the start of a path to solution...

@jdl yes, all things are running on winxp x86
