General Support / MAC addresses
March 09, 2016, 10:36:25 PM
Hi:

Where do i find the MAC addresses for my discovered nodes? Doesn't Netxms save the mac address of a discovered node somewhere?

I know i can use "find switch port" and it will give me the MAC address. But, do i have to do that for each individual node? And, what if the node is down?, find switch port does not return anything.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi:

I'm having the same problem as well. Using Windows Server 2003 R2. Netxms core service won't start.

General Support / Re: Object Tools Config in a Mac

Thanks for replying, Alex.

CoRD is working perfectly but ssh and telnet don't seem to be resolving %OBJECT_IP_ADDR%. I'm just getting a new terminal window.

General Support / Object Tools Config in a Mac
September 16, 2014, 09:11:50 PM
Hi:

How do you add commands to Object tools when using a Mac computer? I'm using the NetXMS console for Mac and would like to Remote Desktop, SSH or Telnet to certain nodes. I have seen examples on how to do this for Windows but would like some guidance as to how to do it in a Mac.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks Alex.

Yes, all i need is to make sure those services are up and running. I don't need to install the agent.

Regards.

Hi:

Thanks for the response. I created my remote nodes under Infrastructure Services and also created the Network Services i wanted to poll for each node and everything is working great now. I also created notifications to alert when the services were down.

Should i install the agent anyway?

Thanks again.

Forgot to mention that these are all Linux systems. Would also like to avoid installation of agent, if possible.

Thanks

Hi:

I would like to monitor a few remote servers ( cloud servers ). I need to check that they are up and running and to check for certain services running on them ( some at custom ports ). How do i go about doing this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

PD: I have read the documentation but don't quite seem to figure this out as the documentation isn't explicit enough.
