Hello,

I am trying to get the REST API set up and can't seem to figure out where to put the netxms-websvc-x.x.xx.war file.
I have two files in my home directory "NetXMS" and "NetXMS-WebUI". I currently have it placed in "NetXMS-WebUI" > "webapps" with the other .war files.

The next step says to create a "nxapisrv.properties" file and place it in the property file location of your web server. I can't find the property file. Does anyone have any insight? Since downloading the websvc.war file I have rebooted the server but still no property file.

Web API/Rest API — NetXMS Administrator Guide (4.2.433) This is the guide I am using.

Thanks

General Support / Using scripts to poll node status
October 14, 2022, 04:55:19 PM
Hello,

We have a node that constantly falls offline up to 10 times a day. I wanted to create a script that can poll a node. I believe once I have a script, I can tell it to run when the node is "down". I just cannot find anything on how to poll the status form a script. I found how to return the current status but not how to use snmp to poll a new status. Anyone have any ideas?

General Support / Database Migration Windows Server 2022
September 14, 2022, 07:05:52 PM
Hello I am trying to migrate my database to the new instance and I found this link Database Migration, but I do not know where to enter the commands. It always says command not recognized when I enter it in PowerShell or Server Console through the management console. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

When attempting to install NetXMS it gets stuck on connecting to the database. I get:

"Unable to connect to database server localhost as sa (could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)"
"Is the server running on host "localhost" (::1) and accepting TCP.IP connections on port 5432?"
"Is the server running on host localhost" (127.0.0.1) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?"

Does anyone know how to fix this?

General Support / New Server
September 06, 2022, 11:52:40 PM
Hello, I am very new to NETXMS. Currently at work I have the job of moving it from an old server to a new server. From my research it looks like I just need to install NETXMS on the new server then adjust the .conf and move the database over. My questions are.
1. Is that correct
2. Will that move all the scripts and nodes?
3. Where is the database? I looked at the .conf file and it only shows the name. I searched the name on the whole computer and didn't find anything. There is no path defined.

Please help!
