General Support / Threshold value
November 15, 2013, 12:42:06 PM
Hi,

I made a threshold, on interface inbound traffic, which takes difference with previous value. I set threshold to 100 as the traffic on that interface isn't high. Then i get a alarm:
QuoteThreshold reached for data collection item "Outbound traffic on 2 (NetXMS Proxy) (packets/sec)" (Parameter: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.11.2; Threshold value: 100; Actual value: 18446744073709551614)
I'm wondering, from where is that actual value coming from? The real values are all below 100.
Is my configuration wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Nikk

Feature Requests / Last values grouping
November 14, 2013, 03:02:37 PM
Hi,

As our network expands and the count of dci's is growing rapidly, the last value window becomes hard to review. It would be nice if last values or even dci configuration could be grouped by user, so for example, interfaces are in one category, system in another and server things in another.

Thanks in advance,

General Support / Windows Console
November 14, 2013, 10:34:49 AM
Hi,

I read the server configuration variable list  http://wiki.netxms.org/wiki/Server_Configuration_Variables  and noticed the last variable -
WindowsConsoleUpgradeURL, but on the actual server configuration list, i couldn't find it! Is it still in development?

Thanks in advance,

Servers are running on Ubuntu server 12.04 and Windows server 2012.
I looked into debug6 log, but there were nothing regarding housekeeping!

General Support / DeleteEmptySubnets
November 07, 2013, 12:19:42 PM
Hi,

I have suspicion that variable DeleteEmptySubnets = 1 is not working! As I understand, they should be deleted each time when housekeeping process ir running, which is by default 3600. But my empty subnets are not deleted. Can it be so, or i'm missing something?

NetXMS version 1.2.9

General Support / Re: Snmp proxy agent and traps
November 07, 2013, 11:57:55 AM
Hi,

As we increase our network, we have a need to monitor remote snmp devices and it would be nice, receiving snmp traps. Is there any changes on this?

Thanks in advance,

Here is the proxy config:
Quote#
# Sample configuration file for NetXMS agent

EnableWatchdog = yes

MasterServers = Our_external_address
LogFile = {syslog}
LogFile = /var/log/nxagentd.log
EnableProxy = yes
EnableSNMPProxy = yes

SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/portcheck.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/ping.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/linux.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/logwatch.nsm

And the agents config:
Quote
MasterServers = Our_external_address
LogFile = {syslog}
LogFile = /var/log/nxagentd.log
CreateCrashDumps = yes
DumpDirectory = /var/log/nxagentdump

SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/portcheck.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/ping.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/linux.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/ecs.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/logwatch.nsm
SubAgent = /usr/local/lib/netxms/sms.nsm

EnableWatchdog = yes

General Support / Cannot connect agent

Hi,

I have the following situation - I installed NetXMS agent on server which is located in remote site without proxy enabled. There is another NetXMS agent who is working like a proxy. So, from console I when i poll proxy everything is like it should be (agent found), but when i poll the new agent I get:
Quote[04.11.2013 14:05:45] **** Poll request sent to server ****

The device does respond to icmp pings and agent is running.

There is even some communication between the proxy and the agent:

Server debug shows, that Communication with agent 192.168.0.4 failed (Connection broken).

I'm stuck here and can't find the solution to this. If i need to provide more information, just tell.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I tried this:

Problem #2 seems to be the same as in https://www.netxms.org/forum/general-support/segfault-2648. You can try to apply suggested patch and recompile if you was building from sources.
and it worked, thanks :)
