hi victor,

i have the new version 1.2.3 installed for some time now and the app does not seem to discover the Fiber Channel controllers even though they have an ip address each of it's own and when i run network scanning tools i can find them.
i have already posted a topic on the subject but i did not get your respond.
i hope there is a way to help me with this and i'll add some tech stuff to help you:
1. i have no vlans but i have divided the network to subnets.
2. i have configured netxms to discover nodes using active and passive and i have configured filtering that covers all the subnets i have.
3. the communication to the FC controllers is routed through the management controller.
4. the last time i told you that i see events from the FC controllers but now i do not.
5. i have checked the DB for errors after the installation of the new version and they were none.

you tolled me that by now you have access to such blade center and you will run some tests on it, any news on that ?

i am just trying to make this app the best one there is and the help side of it is a little bit lacking.
i do not want to accumulate posts which hold answers that should be in the help files/wiki/what ever.

i used to see the indicator around 60 and now i am getting to 120 or so.
nothing changed for me in the configuration.

i am really trying to make an effort and use the wiki but when i started using netxms i have found the pdf files more useful.
alex said that there will be an option to create pdf files from wiki, when will that be applied ?
when are all the system variables will be up to date in the wiki ? like $1 or $node and when to use them, like using $1 in the agent configuration script and $node in transformation scripts.
how difficult and time consuming will it be {if you even want it to be} to add embedded help files in the program ? at least in places like agent parameters and so ?

what  happened to the help pdf files ? there is only wiki and it is not complete and to tell you the truth i loved working with the pdf.
where can i download the old pdf's ?

in continuing my former post about netapp traps and events i have attached a 7zip file containing 2 files:
1. complete export file corresponding to netapp ontap v7.2.6.1 up to v8.0.1RC2 7mode. - this file includes the file i already posted and the additions that came with the mentioned release.
2. a file containing only the additions that came with v8.0.1

i have noticed that in v1.2.3 the heap indicator show greater usage then the previous releases, is there a bug or the recent changes to the gui require more memory ?

finished compiling it without unicode and everything is ok so maybe it is the DB or a bug

it could be. there is no problem for me to recompile without the Unicode switch and test it. i just wanted to be sure that it is not a bug.

i have upgraded to the new 1.2.3 version but this time i have compiled it with unicode enabled but now i see gibberish in the "platforn Name" field of the server.
i run the server on centos 6.x and postgre sql
is it related to the unicode ?

i have installed v1.2.3 this morning and by now i would expected the system to find the FC Management nodes, but it didn't therefor my problem is not solved.
i have done db check and nothing.
i hope you have access to a blade center to try and solve this problem

did you think about running netxms in a cluster ?
i do not know how your network is configured but it seems to me that both servers are monitoring the same network and cluster is the 1st solution for this type of redundancy.
