General Support / Re: stack ports
July 30, 2012, 01:29:37 PM
hi victor,

i looked at the switches and i found that there is a difference between stack ports an 10gb ports.
there are module sockets for either 10gb uplink or stack ports and the module attached is for stack ports therefor the status indication of the switches are correct.
i was not familiar with this configuration which is different from cisco, hence my mistake

hi victor,

this is some thing you can fix ?
i have to ask...
i have cisco catalyst 2970 and i have 2 rows of Ethernet ports and 4 optic ports layed  in one row yet i see them as extra 2 ports in each row instead of 1 row of 4 just like they are layed out physically.is this something you can do ? display the ports as they are physically layed out ?

hi victor,

i have tried clearing all the config from the network discovery and let it run and the problem is still there.
btw i am using 1.2.2 but the problem occurred in 1.2.1 too.
i do not remember what i have changed or which snmp agent i have opened that caused this problem.

waiting for your help,
