Hi Victor,

there were threads about agents crashing and threads about packaging issues, does the links in download section lead to the latest and fixed packages ?

General Support / Re: Documentation

hi Tatjana,

we all appreciate the hard work that you and the netxms team does.
this is one app that i use widely and recommend to every sysadmin i know.
i keep reminding you about documentation because without it, it is very hard to configure a lot of features thus, not maximizing the use of it.

keep up the good work,
Lindeamon

that's ok  ;)
you need to create a xml file with the parser configuration you need.
you need to upload it to the server.
you need to deploy it to the relevant nodes.

now,
you need to create a policy to tell the agent to use this parsers
you need to apply the policy to the relevant nodes.
you need to restart the agents to use the policy.

hi mdreher,

didn't do it but, log parsing is configured via xml file and an entry in the agent config file.
you can create such xml file and deploy it through the server via the file manager.
you can create an agent policy to use that xml file.
if i remember correctly, you need to restart the agent to load the new configuration.

General Support / Documentation

Hi,

where can i find the most up to date and complete documentation ?
currently, i am trying to find information about the agent and sub-agents and i can't find 1 source that is complete.
i have to look in the:
1. admin guide pdf
2. sample config
3. wiki
4. forum
and all of this is taking to much time that i end up leaving it and basically, not taking advantage of the full potential of netxms.

thanks,
Lindeamon

Feature Requests / Driver Generator
October 19, 2017, 10:04:35 AM
Hi,

since drivers for appliances give us much needed information, it would be great to have a tool that will let us generate a driver instead of requesting it from you.

August 24, 2017, 10:15:51 AM
hi victor,

it happened again.
i have tried to terminate over 50 alarms in 1 time and i got: "'Terminate alarms' has encountered a problem. cannot terminate alarm: request timedout"
i have noticed that after i finished writing this post, the alarms disappeared from the window.

hope you find the problem.
