Hi Victor,

some thing happened along the way with varbind position.
i have upgraded one of my netxms to v2.1 and all my SNMP traps are showing incorrect data.
information of what suppose to be in POS:1, is incorrect.
my 1st post here talked about v2.0.8 but this system, if recall correctly, worked fine with v2.0.8
when i look at the snmp trap log, i see the varbinds in the right order as i expected. the alarm for some reason, takes the wrong value.
i do not wat to spend more time re-configuring all my snmp trap list

what can i do ?

Best Regards,

Hi,

problem is still occurring. in the past, when i terminated a bulk of alarms, they got terminated one by one.
today, i get the "job status" window which hangs until it sends an error and after 2nd or 3rd termination , the alarms get terminated and the list is cleared.

Victor ?

General Support / terminating alarms - v2.1
July 31, 2017, 05:27:06 PM
hi,

i am using netxms v2.1 installed on centos 6.9 x64.
i am using netxms console on win7 client.

for some reason, after upgrading to v2.1, i am getting errors when trying to terminate bulk alarms but after a few seconds all the list is cleared.

anyone ? any idea ?

run "du -h", it should display a tree of folders and their disk usage.
when you find the problematic folder, run "ls -lha" to see all files and their size

i have used "nxdbmgr upgrade -X" and it worked.
the only thing that bothers me about it, is what data i am missing in the process.

i suggest, backing up the db before the upgrade, running the upgrade with -X and check for data corruption.

cheers,

victor, as you can see, the upgrade happens in several tables.
defiantly needs to be checked...

from the netxms management console:
tools->server console

then, invoke the down command. this will close the management console and start shutting down the server.
then, stop both netxms core and netxms agent services.
finally, run the installer and it will upgrade what you need.

troubleshooting:
if the server will not start after the upgrade, there is a chance that the DB wasn't upgraded so:
1. open command line
2. go to <netxms's installtion>\bin folder. default is: c:\netxms\bin
3. run nxdbmgr.exe upgrade
4. cross your fingers  ;)

Good Luck

Solved it,

i already had installed java v1.6u31 and upon updating to v1.8u131 the problem was solved.
maybe there is a need to insert some kind of check to see what version of java one have installed.

cheers for me  ;)
