why do i need the mib compiler ? where do i see it's results ?
if i won't use let's say the polycom mib but i will define some traps via the snmp trap tool and create an event,i will not see it or see it incorrectly in the alarm browser ?

i am trying to right a very simple transform script which will take the $1 variable and change it's value to "yes" if it is equal to 1 and "no" if it is equal to 2.
i can get through the first comparison but other then that nothing works and the user manual does not help.

the problem still occurs and i have looked at the log file and there is no information about what is wrong.
what can i do ?
do you want me to run it in debug mode ?
do i have to have a special software installed ?
will it write any problem regarding the database ?

hi victor,

i have installed the new version and i invoked the nxdbmgr command with the upgrade switch and it said everything is ok.
last night the server crashed again and the event viewer does not give me too much info.
i have configured the server to save a local log file rather then the event log and i have configured the windows service recovery options to restart the service everytime it crashes.
i have to tell u that it does not happen when i use the program.it happens sometime during the night and i see it when i come in the morning and the console tells me that the connection terminated unexpectedlly and when i try to reconnect it fails.the mysql server does not fail.
i will be out of the office for the rest of the weeked so i will be able to check the log file again then.
still i hope u will find what my problem is because i am begining to like this software a lot.

u r the man.it worked like a charm,pitty this things do not appear on the user manual.
another thing regarding this solution:
i have configured a dci to find uptime through snmp and in the autoapply it told it to apply it on node that have snmp and do not have an agent.what i want to know is,once a node was applyed with this dci and i install an agent on it,will the template be automatically unbind ? if not,what is the right way do unbind it automatically ?

i have configured a dci to show me the system and agent uptime and when i look at the dci values i see the number of seconds and the only thing i can do is to display it as multiplier.
i want to view it in days and hours format and came across a function called secondstouptime and i tried to use it but no luck.
what is the right way to get what i want ?

hi,

does the system looses it's auto bind script when renaming the folder ?
if so,maybe the scripts should be placed in the scripts library and the "auto bind" feature will be linked to them somehow
