i have solved it my self.
i have installed the new server and in the server config wizard i have toled hi  to use existing db which i have copied from the old server and told him to initialize it.
of course i had to do some adjustments but it work like a charm.

i am using the embedded sqlite db and i am trying to export it using the nxdbmgr but it gives an error something about problems with schema.
can any 1 help ?

i guess this is a new feature request.r u planning to include such feature ? it is a little bit difficult to look for and restart every agent when config changes.

hi,

i have changed one of my agent configuration configuration and the agent did not retrieved the new config.i have found a parameter called "configurationpollinginterval",is this reffered to the agent polling it's config ? does the agent have a parameter telling him to check for new or changed config ?

how does the system works with dhcp nodes that often change their ip address ?
will the discovery process rediscover them and just correct the ip address of the node ?

i have a node configured to do event log parsing and to look for ntbackup start/end operation.
is there a way to all the history of a node without searching the event browser ? something like right clicking the node and "show history"

i have cisco switches c3750 series and when ever the program discovers one and it's not in stack mode i get a red dot on the stack interfaces.

from the tools menu there is an export/import options but it only immplies to events,templates and snmp traps.

one can create multipal agent configurations but when installing the agent the only parameter given is the server holding the config.
in case of many agent config's how the correct config is chosen/deployed ?
