General Support / Event monitor limits.
March 10, 2016, 11:07:26 AM
I have problem with finding place where to customize the limit for events in event monitor.

Looks like the limit is around 200 positions, and after reaching it, new events are deleting oldest ones.

Is there any way to make it unlimited? Or at least set the limit for around 2000-3000 positions?

Then no worries. We can wait until it'll be released.

Well, I would like not to give you much extra work since you are already helpful but in other hand I promissed my supervisor to implement fully NetXMS in our buildings soon and start training people to move from other system to NetXMS.
It all depends when are you going to release ver. 2.0.3

Thanks!

General Support / Cannot save predefined graphs
February 08, 2016, 03:58:43 PM
Hey everybody!

I have some problems lately with saving predefined graphs. When trying to do this there is only error message "SQL query failed".

In NetXMS log there is such information:

"[08-Feb-2016 14:41:54.430] [ERROR] SQL query failed (Query = "INSERT INTO graphs (flags,name,config,filters,graph_id,owner_id) VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?)"): [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]COUNT field incorrect or syntax error".

I did check DB with "nxdbmgr check". Also restarting everything step by step doesn't give any effect.

PS. I'm using NetXMS 2.0.2

I tried to use threshold in DCI configuration. Activation of event "sys_node_down" if the sum of last 5 polls would be 20 (if value of 4 means "offline") or last 5 polls are equal to 4. But still mail notification is being sent as soon as netxms server notices something being offline. What am I doing wrong? How to activate those thresholds?

General Support / Email notification after many polls.
October 12, 2015, 11:21:52 AM
Hello everybody!

Another problem I do have with system notifications on e-mail.
The question is - how can I configure Event Processing Policy for example to send email notification if node is down but not before there are at least 3 polls which gives me "node down" status?

When there is huge traffic on the network, sometimes some switches or servers does not answer for poll from NetXMS server even if they are pinging from my workstation. To prevent chaos in our office, I would like to be sure that if I do get sms/email notification, it really means that there is some real problem on the network, not just wrong poll.

PS. Also adding rule such as "Do not send notification more then once if the node is down" which would rearm after node is alive again, would be really helpful  ;)

Thanks!

General Support / Re: SMS notification via smartphone.

Ok, then in case of using "old style" phone for example Nokia which can use Nokia Connectivity tool, how can I configure the server so they will communicate with each other? SMSDriver?

General Support / SMS notification via smartphone.

Hey guys!

Did anyone try to configure any smartphone connected to NetXMS server for sending SMS notifications? By connecting I mean permanent cable connection.
I am wondering if it is only possible to avoid using GSM modem or web gateway.
