thanks for responding,

There were no alarms prior to moving the workstation.  I tried to poll the down device (even though the device was up) but the poll still came back unreachable.  Very weird.

Hello guys (Victor)...

I have my netxms installed on a xp workstation.  I had to move the workstation to another location.  When i turned it back up, all the devices didnt come 'green" even though i was able to ping it from the workstation itself.  The devices are set to poll via ICMP no SNMP.  To get it back green, i had to delete the device and add it back in.  Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

i figured it out...i reinstalled mysql and unchecked restrict mode and checked tcp...im not sure which one was the blocking me to connect to the database

Hello guys...

im really looking forward on trying the software, but im at a stand still.  Im using mysql and have created a database and able to connect to it via command line...when i install netxms and go through the steps to connect to databse i get 'unable to connect to database'.

any ideas why this isnt working?
