Hi there. I have a problem with netxms server 2.1 Sometimes (several times in 1 hour) Dashboards are getting timeout error while refreshing. But connection is not breaking down and a litle later, dashboard can refresh everything with no error.

I am using dedicated physical server pc for netxms server. Specs :
2 * Sockets with 12 Cores (total 48 cores with hyper threading enabled)
4* SSD Drive with raid,
128 GB Ram,
Centos 7,
Postgresql 9.6.3

As you can see, OS is not swapping. And normally, everything is very vell. I can see line chart that has 8 lines and 60 secs data collection time with 30 day in 3-4 seconds.

By the way, this timeout problem was not happening in netxms 2.0.8. It started when I upgraded to 2.1 from 2.0.8

I am using netxms server 2.0.1 and agent 2.0.1

I saw that netxms agent is generating always traffic. (about 4Mbps) There is not any open dashboard, server console, or anything else. Only netxms agent screen is open.

It is not a problem while I am using from LAN. But sometimes I need to use agent from WAN (with 3G) and my connection is not succeeding to go high speeds.

Can agent's generated traffic be get smaller?

Hi.

Netxms server is working for 6 days and memory usage is growing. Netxms ram usage was about 1.5 g in first day, but now, it is about 24g. And Management console connection performance is very slower then first day.

Where must I look for this? I am using Netxms 2.0RC2, postgresql 9.3 and centos7 for server.

Event processing is too slow, so everything is being wrong.

before 4-5 days ago, I added 600 servers as node. I am not polling any DCI .
I am looking for only if they are up or down (status)

I set debug and there is no error in debug.

Does anybody has idea about my slow event processing problem ?

I am trying to use xmpp with netxms. but I could not success yet.

I settled all necessary settings in server configuration. but it is not way to success

I tried to reinstall netxms ( i am using cents 7 X64), I saw that when configure finished, report is :
LDAP NO
XMPP NO
I could not change this. I looked to the forum but could not find any info.

Can anybody help me about using xmpp, please.

I know we can use %USERNAME% in macros with action configuration. Bu I have an action that loads only script (%[script]). I am using this action to create support ticket to my ISP. I have at least 5 persons that is doing this job.  I want to add personal info to this.

Can this be done? How can I use username in script that loaded from action?

Can alarm viewer be filtered with alarm prefix?

Think that there is a node, and there may be some critic alerts (there may be multi node as this). But different persons must solve these problems. So, I want to filter each person's dashboard for only their jobs.

I thought about this and I can do this with a different way (create a node for each person, and create alarms for other machines on these nodes and show everybody only one node's alerts.) Disadvantage of this is when I want to go past for only one node, it will be more difficult.

I am wondering if there is any other way for this.

I am trying to make a dashboard and want to put a network map in it. I am configuring network map as show nodes as status icons, and it seems as is when I open the network map. But when I put this network map into a dashboard, nodes are being showed as their icons (shown in attached picture.) What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to make charts with logaritmic scale, and usually I am getting this error :
Series contain negative value

But there is not any value smaller then zero (my DCI's data type is Unsigned Integer).

How can I solve this?

If I don't misunderstand, housekeeper deletes old records of DCIs which are older then retention time.

I have a big system and like to record nearly all possible information  about my system. So, there are lots of DCIs and polling frequency is high.

My nextxms installation is working so good. But after 02:00 (Housekeeper's start time) system's db writing performance is getting too slow. When I look up to queues, I see lots of data at Database Writers sections (IData, RawDataand other). This queue sometimes going down in short time. But sometimes, Queue can go down to 0 nearly 20:00 pm. So, till queues go down to 0, all of my dashboards are not showing full.

I and using postgresql, linux. Postgresql tuning is ok. My server's configuration is Hp proliant DL380 gen 6. 2 CPUs, 32 GB ram and hp 410i raid card with 256 MB of cache. I am using 4 hdd with raid. Virtual platform on this pc and only one VM (nextms server) (sometimes I am trying wrong things and in VM, I can quickly backup and restore )
I am looking to disc performance of pc, and can go about 120 MBps but usage is about 5,5MBps.

Is this problem about housekeeper or my hardware or anything else?
Does anybody has any idea about?

I try to set debug level to 9 but could see nothing.

Hi. I am trying to use mssql.ddr for run query in an other mssql database, but can't find mssql.ddr in my installation.
I am using centos 7 and tried to reinstall with --with-mssql prefix, but I could not do.
When I try to configure with "--with-mssql", system says :

configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --with-mssql

Where am I wrong or what must I do?

On the other hand, I tried to compile with --with-odbc prefix, (installed unixODBC):
there is not any error while configuring. but, when I try to use make command, I am getting this error :

odbcdrv.h:77:17: fatal error: sql.h: No such file or directory

So, I could not use odbc.ddr, too.

I am using 2.0.M4 and have a problem about network service response times. I did not try to use this feature before.
As you can see in attached picture, I have multi web pages in several servers. I created network services for nodes and can see if they are working or not.
I have configured service check as server's agent.

I can load netsvc subagent on server's agent.

But I want to see response times for each network service too. And I could not create a right DCI.
I am creating a DCI in ebysapp1 for ex. and selecting internal, Netsvc.responsetime {instance} but after I apply, nextms is giving me that DCI is unsupported.

I am not writing anything to instance discovery section for new DCI.

Where am I wrong, can anybody explain me?

I am wondering that if dashboards are auto refreshing themselves even if they are in inactive tab of management console.
I mean: I am opening management console, and opening 4-5 dashboards. and one of them is active. Will all of open dashboards refresh in their scheduled times? (in picture below, will DC_STATUS, firewall_Trafik and STATUS dashboards refresh themselves when scheduled interval arrived ?)

if so, can I disable this option. I think this is happening lots of IOPS on my storage, and this is causing problem:
I have many users, they are opening lots of dashboards and at the end, netxms can not write database (when i write show queue in console, I saw 1.500.000 Database writer (IDATA).) Or, why does this happening and what must I do?

Btw, I had a look to logs, both mysql and netxmsd, there was 2 error in netxms and 0 in mysql.
errors in netxmsd:  Thread "Item Poller" does not respond to watchdog thread (occurred 2 times in 10 hour)

I am having lots of data collection error, and i could not understand why this is happening.

I added new nodes (routers and servers) to netxms in 10 days. I am  getting this error for 5-6 days.

I have lots of routers, server pcs and lots of DCI for them.
I have some problems after I upgraded to 2.0-m1.
I am using cents 7, mysql.

Lots of alarms are being created about node down and up. I don't want to change poll count for status change setting on server.

Hi community!

I am using netxms for 1 month.
I have lots of (nearly 1100) routers around my country in my network and I am not an ISP
So, I am having problems about my nodes' speeds and statusses.

Now, these are I can do with this project:
Send e-mail to my ISP about node that is down and at the same time, send sms to my managers about node's status. (thanks for scripting and server side command)
I can see if there is a saturation on any node and can decide easily if the node needs more bandwidth.

These are what I saw that must be in netxms or I could not do these with netxms   (in my opinion)

* In world map view, all nodes' names are visible and this is a disadvantage on networks like mine (nearly all map of my country is full of my routers' names and not all of them can be seen). If an option can be set as SHOW ONLY STATUS INDICATOR, it will be more understandable for people who see my world map. And  if user can right click on this status indicator in world map, and see node's popup menu it will be more usable

* I tried to split Alarms to classes in dashboard. There can be an option here: I can see Object Tools menu in Alarm Browser screen, but I can't see them in dashboard's alarm view section. It will be more useful if it can be add here (for operator's usability).

* As I told above, I can send e-mail to my ISP and send sms to my managers with one command with object tools->server side command option in node's right click popup menu. A little speciality may be added here: Because of I can't use object tools in dashboard's alarm view, I can not send alarm id to my script as a variable. If it can be done so, I could add ack to my script and users could know if this alarm is noticed to ISP. Or if an event object can be add for acknowledgements (ack, sticky ack,..).

* An other thing is : There may be a class as Alarm in NXSL. It can be used for e-mail or sms informations to network operators. For example : If node's bandwidth usage is about max., and if this happens 50 times in a day, an auto message can be send to network operators. Or if SNMP fails about 10 times a day, it can be noticed to network operators by e-mail or sms, too.

I have about 1000 servers on my network around country and I will try to use nxagent on these servers. I have no idea about nxagent for now, But I am sure, it is very usefull too.
