Allright, here goes :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DCI 1: BLACK TONER (this one works)

TYPE: SNMP
OID  : .1.3.6.1.4.1.2001.1.1.1.1.100.3.1.1.3.1
DATATYPE: Integer
INTERVAL: 3600

THRESHOLD:

LAST POLLED VALUE will be LESS OR EQUAL than 10
If true execute: X_TONER
If false exectue: X_TONER_NORMAL

GRAPH (it gets turned off a lot so I selected the data it did collect):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DCI 2: CYAN TONER (this one works as well)

TYPE: SNMP
OID  : .1.3.6.1.4.1.2001.1.1.1.1.100.3.1.1.3.2
DATATYPE: Integer
INTERVAL: 3600

THRESHOLD:

LAST POLLED VALUE will be LESS OR EQUAL than 10
If true execute: X_TONER
If false exectue: X_TONER_NORMAL

GRAPH (it gets turned off a lot so I selected the data it did collect):

DCI 3: MAGENTA TONER (This one does NOT workl)

TYPE: SNMP
OID  : .1.3.6.1.4.1.2001.1.1.1.1.100.3.1.1.3.3
DATATYPE: Integer
INTERVAL: 3600

THRESHOLD:

LAST POLLED VALUE will be LESS OR EQUAL than 10
If true execute: X_TONER
If false exectue: X_TONER_NORMAL

GRAPH (it gets turned off a lot so I selected the data it did collect):

DCI 3: YELLOW TONER (This one does NOT workl)

TYPE: SNMP
OID  : .1.3.6.1.4.1.2001.1.1.1.1.100.3.1.1.3.4
DATATYPE: Integer
INTERVAL: 3600

If true execute: X_TONER
If false exectue: X_TONER_NORMAL

GRAPH (it gets turned off a lot so I selected the data it did collect):

I have set the threshold really high on the DCI'S, I was testing to make sure that an alert would be triggered, I tried putting them on an interval of 10 seconds, I disabled all DCI'S but the ones I was testing.

I hope you see something wrong because I can't find the problem  :D

Great, thank you :)

Hi Victor,

I recently read one of your posts saying that this method is not the correct way to deal with this problem, do you have any other suggestions on how to fix this? Unfortunately I'm going to encounter this problem a lot so I would like to be sure that the solution is stable.

Wow this is getting really weird.

Four different DCI'S, for four different toner statistics, all of them are integers, all of them have the same threshold, and all of them trigger the same events

But only two of them, actually trigger the event when a treshold is reached, I tested this by disabling the toner DCI'S that I wasn't testing at that time.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

General Support / Re: NetXMS server queues?

Also, what is the best database software to run NetXMS server on?

I've been using MySQL for quite some time now but would MSSQL perform even better or.. ?

General Support / NetXMS server queues?
May 22, 2008, 11:33:21 AM
I was just checking the queues over the last eight hours and I still feel that there are a lot of peaks  :( Is this going to cause a problem if it gets worse?

Crashes when copying to the clipboard appears to have been fixed  :)
The window title problem still exists unfortunately (https://www.netxms.org/forum/index.php/topic,330.0.html)

The problem occurs with both physical and pdf printers.

I just tested with one predefined graph , 3 different drivers and 2 different printers and 2 nodes.

Node1:
PCL PCL6 and PS drivers work perfectly on printer 1
Printer 2 also prints perfectly , running 0.2.21

Node2:
PCL PCL6 and PS drivers print an entirely black graph on printer 1
printer 2 gives the exact same output, running 0.2.21
Also did a reinstall of the console on node2

It does appear to be a NetXMS problem  :(

I don't know what's causing this, I've tried pretty much all I can try.

General Support / Page file input/output rates
May 22, 2008, 10:03:20 AM
Hi

Is it possible to monitor the page file input/output rates with the NetXMS agent?
See this link for more information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889654

Feature Requests / Process list extra information
May 22, 2008, 09:45:49 AM
Would it be possible to put another tab in the process list that displays the amount of ram individual processes are using ?

Would be really useful :)
#25
Is this correct behavior or is it a bug?

Bump

This is driving me nuts :)

I have one single node where this problem is occuring and I can't seem to find out what the problem is.

It's a printer with SNMP support, I am reading out the: toner, fuser, drum and belt values from SNMP and I have set appropriate thresholds for them.

But, there are no alerts being made. This is understandable for some of these DCI'S because they "string" datatypes meaning I can't put thresholds on them as far as I know.

I've tested the policy one a completely different node and it gets triggered there without a problem.

I really don't know what I could have forgotten, all my other thresholds for SNMP nodes are working properly.

Feature Requests / Re: Receiving email in netxms

I would really appreciate it if you could implement such a feature eventually, that would really make NetXMS so much better :)

It says it contains no data?

Empty set (0.00 sec)

Ahh I see :)

But, I want to get an alert if one of the queues is too high, what threshold do you recommend that I set on the databasewriterqueue?
