Hi,

At first good news, out company decided to use NetXMS as our main NM, so I am looking forward to further collaboration.

And the bad news, as I was messing around table DCI's, suddenly the server crashed and I'm not able to connect to server anymore.

I'm using Windows server 2012 on VMware.

Hi, I have been evaluating network management softwares for my company and I have reduced the number of NMS from 10 to 2, and one of them is NetXMS. And I'm really looking forward to start using it. But for the guys who decide it, i need a little more information about NetXMS to prove it's more usefull and secure than the other one.

As I wasn't able to find any good information about this I came straight here for help.

So i would like to know:

1. What are the limitations of transformation scripting, or I just can make whatever I want?
2. How much can we customize or adjust NetXMS to our needs, i.e., if we are not using standart enterprises or we need data, that origins do not provide, can we adjust NetXMS to start monitoring them? Like Enterasys, Mikrotik switches and all kinds of databases.  And if I add the necessary mibs, will I be able to get information about all the oids? Basically, i want to know whether we can get out other than standart information provided by NetXMS agent or not and if yes, then what are the limitations.
3. How secure is NetXMS? How secure are the connections between remote places? What security protocols are used? I read that NetXMS is using encryption, but I wasn't able to find any other information about security.

I hope, you can answer to these questions and if there are any uncertainties, please ask!

Hi,
I'm experiencing some odd things, like, I delete node or nodes and when i restart the server, every node is back! And should them appear under Business Services when I delete them? Maybe there is some other way how to delete all nodes? I just want to start clean and new discovery.

And another thing, netxms is adding some devices more than once (about 20-30 times). They are being polled like 10times in a second. Why is that?

Hi,

I would like to try event forwarding between two Netxms servers for future distribution. What must I do, to make that happen? As far I have only made action, which forwards event to another netxms server and put that action on  some events. As nothing is happening, i would like to know required configuration for this to happen!
(Both servers are on Ubuntu server 12.04)

Hello,

I have a problem with login in webui, it shows me this error -> Encryption is not supported by peer. The same is in console, but when i disable encrypt session, then i login successfully! And in the nxagent.conf RequireEncryption = no.
I didn't find any solution in the web, so I came here for help!

Hi,
So I was trying out if i'm getting traps from switch. I tried the easiest way - SNMP_AUTH_FAILURE trap and event with alarm generation.
When I make login failure, everything happens as I expected - i get an alarm with appropriate message! And then starts my problem - that alarm keeps generating, although i failed to login once. It keeps coming until i make it as sticky acknowledge.
So is that normal? Should i make some kind of alarm acknowledge event or what?

And I don't see received traps in SNMP trap monitor (i guess because of this https://www.radensolutions.com/chiliproject/issues/150) and also I don't see any event in Events monitor!  I consider, that event which is generated, should appear in Events monitor, am I right?
