i want to create snmp table dci's. is there any quick way to do that ?
a tool that will create the table ?

i am creating snmp traps for my ups and in some field i receive numbers as values.
i want to be able to transform this values to text according to the number.
for ex. 0=true 1=false

how do i do that ?
through snmp configuration ?
through event configuration ?
is it possible ?

hi,

i have installed the 2.1-m1 and it didn't solve a problem i had so i went and installed the 2.0.7.
after installing, the service wouldn't start because of DB upgrade issue.
when i ran nxdbmgr.exe upgrade, it told me that i have a newer version of DB and there was nothing i could do.
since i wanted to install everything from scratch, i have deleted everything.

for future cases like this, what should i have done ?

for some reason the server is rediscovering itself and creates a 2nd node and respective network object as you can see in the attached image.
i have tried deleting the 2nd node {not the original} and it keeps discovering itself.

what can be done ?

hi,

using v2.0.3.
i have added a new network to the active search and the server finds all the nodes in the network but it does no create the network object and place the nodes under it.
the feature "delete empty subnets" in not enabled.

what is the problem ?

is it possible to enable detailed tooltip to event monitor ans syslog monitor and every monitor that does not have it ?
there are events that i do not convert to alarms and i still want to be able to view full details

i found myself spending an hour trying to figure out what went wrong in this simple transform script:
sub Main()

return ($1 / 1024 / 1024 / 1024) . " GB";
}

I came to the understanding the i can not use "Main" and i have to use "main" and i can not use any other name.
did i understood it correctly ?

hi,

i have come to the understanding that when i add a node to the rack and the height is more then 1, i have to place the node at the top of the configured height.
let's say that i have netapp and the controllers are located under the disk shelves, how can i configure the position to be visually correct ?

is possible for you to create a tool that will take a snmp traps mib file and convert it to netxms snmp traps and events ?
it will be a lot easier to import information to the system this way.

hi,

i use v2.0-m5.
i have changed my "active discovery" filters, hit "save", deleted the previous discovered nodes and they were re discovered.
i had to stop the server and start it again for the change to take effect.
