General Support / agent subagents
May 29, 2018, 03:12:53 PM
hi,

1. is there a list of all the subagents and it's configurations ?
2. i have installed agent v2.2.6 x64 and i have noticed that not all the subagents have check-boxes during installation. also, i couldn't find the vmgr.nsm file to monitor esx.
3. is there a list of the agent installation options ?

We had an issue with version number not being updated, and correct packages were uploaded on Monday. This is pure cosmetic issue though.

For agent issue, please show all System.Memory.Physical.* values.

Best regards,
Victor

hi victor,
ran some test and it seems fine.

hi victor,

something is not right...
finished the installation of v2.2.5 and the management console is stating "[email protected] (2.2.4). i have checked and management console is v2.2.5
i have opened the server console and again "...V2.2.4 Ready".
the agent is identified as v2.2.5 but the fix for the free physical memory is not applied and i see that the free physical memory is not correct. i have 16GB ram, used 1.7GB, free 14.4GB and cached 10.1GB. in the "System.Memory.Physical.Free" i see 4.7GB which is the subtraction of cached mem from free mem.

what is going on ?

General Support / Syslog analysis
May 11, 2018, 10:28:42 AM
Hi,

i have configured my firewall to send syslog to netxms server.
in the syslog monitor i see all the entries from the firewall and there are a lot.
i have been thinking, how can i learn something from all of those messages ? is there a way to see statistics ? should i use grafana for this ?

there are products like Elastic search and kibana to analyze all this data but this way i don't use NetXMS.

hi Clifford,

do you monitor them with SNMP ?
if you do monitor them you can probably  get the info through snmp query.
you can auto bind them to a container and see if you can extract the data from it

hope this help get you started

anyone, team netxms...

hi,

i have installed netxms v2.2.4 with postgres 10, both x64 on a physical server running windows 2012 r2 x64 with the latest updates.
i have found the following error:
1. on "System.Memory.Physical.Free" it shows the cached memory instead of the physical memory. i have 16GB RAM and the cached size is 8GB and it shows the 8GB.
