Hello @all,

i fenced a problem too... If i select more then 16x DCI and choose Line Chart from the right click menu, the chart is not display correct. This bug i have in dashboards, too.

Bug is present since V4.0.2157.

Greetings
Marco

Hi,

actually charts does not support more than 16 items, and it was like this since very old versions.

Best regards,
Victor

Hi Victor,

thanks for the info. Until the last NetXMS Update the Dashboard Charts shows Values/Graphs, but perhaps only max 16 Items... At the actual Version the dashboard chart stops working and shows nothing... Anyway, i reduced the DCIs and the dashboard works again...

Hi @all,

at install from the Server V3.9.156  (over V3.8, Win10, MySQL DB) i got the error:

2021.07.28 10:45:23.820 *I* [logger             ] Log file opened (rotation policy 2, max size 16777216)

could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)
Is the server running on host "localhost" (127.0.0.1) and accepting

(please see screenshot from install at attachment)

But we use MySQL as database.

The netxmsd.conf was completly rewriten from installer with postgress config data.

So i had to copy my old MySQL config into the netxmsd.conf file. After that i had to do a manual upgrade the database with "nxdbmgr upgrade".

After that, i can start the NetXMS Core Service.

Maybe a Dev should take a look into the setup process...

General Support / Re: WindowsFirewall.State
June 18, 2021, 02:12:33 PM

I figured out, that only the domain firewall profile is processed from WindowsFirewall.State.

If Windows Domain Firewall Profile is active, all WindowsFirewall.State(domain/private/public) in NetXMS are "1"
If Windows Domain Firewall Profile is deactivated, all WindowsFirewall.State(domain/private/public) in NetXMS are "0"

It seems that the state of private+public firewall profiles is not read...

Can take a Dev here a closer look at?

I have searched in the Admin Guide (https://www.netxms.org/documentation/adminguide/index.html) but i don't find anything for WindowsFirewall.State.

Am i blind, or is there no entry for this function?

General Support / WindowsFirewall.State
June 16, 2021, 05:12:28 PM
Hello @all,

i want to monitor the windows firewall of our servers with the WindowsFirewall.State.

If i create a DCI with WindowsFirewall.State(public) (for the public firewall) so i get the value "0" (Firewall is off). If i activate the windows public firewall the DCI value doesn't change, it remains at "0".

How does the WindowsFirewall.State() work? Is "0" not the value if firewall profile is off?

Thanks for any help...

Hi Victor,

looks like i having here a similar problem (NetXMS V3.8.366, Win10 64bit, MySQL 5.7): If i do a nxdbmgr check-data-tables i get the following error:

C:\NetXMS\bin>nxdbmgr.exe check-data-tables
NetXMS Database Manager Version 3.8.366 Build 3.8-366-gd7bdc676e2 (UNICODE)

Checking database (data tables only):
* Data tables                                                          [PASSED]
* Orphaned data tables                                                 [  62% ]
Data collection table tdata_2065 belongs to deleted object and no longer in use. Delete it? (Y/N)  (Yes/No/All/Skip) Y
SQL query failed (Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails):
DROP TABLE tdata_2065
* Orphaned data tables                                                 [ERROR ]
1 errors was found, 0 errors was corrected
Database still contain errors
Database check completed

Is the patch with DROP CASCADE for tdata tables in V3.8.366 in included?

Hi Victor,

JAVA_HOME  was not set. AdoptOpenJDK is installed in V8 + V11, i deinstalled both (needed these only for the NextXMS Client). Then i reinstalled NetXMS WebUI as described in my last post.... Same errors in log..

After that, i deinstalled NetXMS WebUI an reinstalled it at another setup path (new patch: c:\NetXMS_WebUI)  an voila:  Service is starting and i can access NetXMS with the WebUI...

I would now leave the setup as it is....  Can i delete the  c:\netxms\bin\jre  path?  or is this jre needed for/from the NetXMS Server (i have the NetXMS Server installed at c:\NetXMS)

Hi Victor,

i have gone thru following steps:

- deinstalled NetXMS WebUI (over Windows Program deinstallation)
- manually deleted c:\NetXMS\WebUI
- installed NetXMS WebUI with netxms-webui-3.8.262-x64.exe
- Service not comes up after installation
- change service user to System Account
- start service > service start fails  (please see log files, now there are more informations in log)

Hi Victor,

first i installed it over the old version > not worked.

Then i deinstalled it, deleted the c:\netxms\webui manualy and reinstall (with jre) > not worked.

What for directorys i had to clean after doing a "normal" deinstall? Is the "c:\netxms\webui" the only one?

By the way: In the c:\netxms directory is also the NetXMS Server installed...

At WebUI install i let the suggested installation path ("c:\NetXMS") unchanged. NetXMS Web UI is installed in c:\NetXMS\WebUI. The JRE is installed in c:\NetXMS\bin\jre.

Is this correct?

Greetings
Marco
