Hi, there. We have installed the 4.4 version of both NetXMC server and client. I can log into the NetXMC client without no problem. But, after a short period of time, the NetXMC client sent back the following message: Cannot read measurement unit information. A connection established by the software on your host computer has been aborted.

How can I fix this NetXMC client issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, there. I just updated the netxms-sever to 4.4.1-1 version. Then I updated the netxmc client on Ubuntu as well. When I ran this one. It sent back the following error:

"An error has ocurred. See the log file /../../eclipse/1693502639840.log

I opened this log file. But I am not Eclipse expert. Then I did not understand its content. I Add the first 14 lines of it.

Hi, Fillip. I followed your DB instructions. Also, I looked  for Retention options information on the NetXMC documentation website. Howerver, I did not find nothing related with this topic.

I checked the mysql error file out. This file is empty.

Then according with Server Configuration tab information. It has the following headling titles.

Name, Value, Default value Restart

Also, I chosen the most relevant retention options of the server configuraiton :

1 WindowsEvents.LogRetentionTime
2 UserAgent.RetentionTime
3 UserAgent.DefaultMessageRetentionTime
4 Syslog.RetentionTime
5 SNMP.Traps.LogRetentionTime
6 Scheduler.TaskRetentionTime
7 NotificationLog.RetentionTime
8 NotificationChannels.MaxRetryCount
9 MaintenanceJournal.RetentionTime
10 DataCollection.InstanceRetentionTime
11 DataCollection.DefaultDCIRetentionTime
12 BusinessServices.History.RetentionTime
13 AuditLog.RetentionTime
14 Alarms.HistoryRetentionTime
15 ActionExecutionLog.RetentionTime

According with the NetXMC Database best practice. What would be the retention options that I need to update to work in proper manner with the netXMC server?

Thanks in Advance

Hi, there. We have been using NXMC system for at least two years. During this period of time, the NXMC  database has increased its tables size. So far on this forum I do not find any clue how to handle this database tables size. Any idea how we can apply NXMC database best practice.Any comment is welcome Thanks in advance.

Done ! I attach a screenshot.

Also,  I decided to open the log file of the netxmsd. I found the following information in the latest line:

2022.06.07 16:44:25.647 *E* [db                 ] Your database has format version 40.100, but server is compiled for version 41.17

Done ! the mysql command sent back the following message on my end:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on databse IP address

Whoops !

José

Side note: NetXMS server and NextXMS database server are in the same IP address.

Hi, Filipp. I am agree with you. However, I can log to the database with the same root credentials. I attach a screenshot. It is weird for me. Meanwhile I was working in this database connection issue. I have the following idea:

Because, I moved the database file into a new computer server. Maybe, I need to use the same root password that I use in the production server. I am going to try it.
