General Support / Changes in Maps not getting Sa...
Last post by deepb - Today at 08:35:05 AM
Hi,

Ever since I upgraded to v4.5.4 I've observed that changes made in maps (like creating a link, changing text box color etc.) are not getting saved sometimes. The problem is erratic. Please help to resolve this issue.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you clarify a bit what you are trying to achieve.
If it's IP address of Postgres database, which NetXMS server process is using, it's in c:\netxms\etc\netxmsd.conf, parameter named DBServer.

Moved SQL queries to use ExternalMetric instead more control over connections and errors that way so in general better way so far.

Also looking forward to new grafana connector.
It is normal for current one to eat up sessions, every panel and query you have that has some DCI reference will create session on page load. when page has loaded the sesssions slowly die and if you leave the page with only panel refreshes it keeps sessions low but as soon as you do side refresh in browser it start all sessions again.

Been strugling for a long time with grafana eating up over 128 sessions making server unconnectable until sessions die off.

Hi,

I need to change the ip address of the NetXMS server but when I did it then I lost everything.

I checked the configuration file and the documentation but I can't find a how to do it.

I guess it's inside the DB that NetXMS need to check it ?

I would like to share with you my first report, which returns all the events other than a certain type of event ID that occurred to the nodes belonging to a certain container in a certain period of time.
I see there is a problem with converting timestamp from unixtimestamp and datetime, I will work on it in the next few days.
Enjoy it and feel free to let me know your opinion!

If there's NetXMS or SNMP agent on the end node, MAC address will be read from it. Otherwise we take it from FDB of the switch to which this node is connected.

General Support / MAC addresses are not populate...

I have nodes that are discovered but details for typical node have all zeros (00:00:00:00:00:00) for MAC addresses.  I do I am not sure if it has something to do with the upgrade of code on my Extreme XOS switches.  Currently running 32.6.2.68 of the XOS code.  the switch has SMNP3 enabled and system authenticates with it so I can't see why FDB not populating the MAC and even the IP ARP.  What are the mechanisms that it uses to determine the MAC address of an endnode?
