not getting connected to the server from agent

Hi,

   I have installed Netxms in one of our server(Linux).I have followed the
steps given in the documentation and configured it.After configuration
i have started the agent first and then server.I have even checked the
log files but don't find an error in the log file.

   But when iam trying to connect from agent to the server it is saying

   error:unable to connect:communication failure

 Is there anything need to be configured on agent side in order to
communicate with server.

  can you please helpme out in this issue and guide me where iam going wrong.
