Hi,

In regards to templates, I would suggest allowing all possible client
parameters to be selected. After all, theres always the risk that I
apply some template to a node that cannot provide the given parameters.
Thus I would suggest that inapplicable parameters silently fail.

Thanks for explaining the service checks for me. They seem to work just
fine now. About that, is there more service checks in the pipeline? In
the past I've used Nagios for service checks and are quite happy with
the vast amount of available modules there. Have you considered leaving
default values ofr the request and response boxes? Ive been having a
hard time trying to figure out what to put in the SSH service check. Any
suggestions on that? Or any general advice about service checks?

I've also been wondering about graphing. Is there planned any kind of
graphwiev that allows me to browse a set of preset grahps? Or are there
already a similar feature? Currently Im using cacti to graph various
data. Cacti lets me in a very easy manner browse a large set of graphs
searching for abnormalities aswell as assist me in estimating when
various link needs to be upgraded.

Hello!

1. Idea of "Select" button for agent parameters is to show parameters
supported by particular agent. Because template does not represents any
specific node, there are no way to determine what parameters should be
shown. "Move to template..." function was created as a solution to this
problem. However, any suggestions how to do parameter selection for
templates in a logical way are very welcome.
Support for importing/exporting templates is in the development and
should be implemented in next release.

2. Service checks is done by separate subagent, which you should load at
least on your management server. Also, if you set node1 as a "poller
node" for node2, you should load portchecker subagent on node1 as well.
To load portchecker subagent, add the following to your agent's
configuration file:

SubAgent = /opt/lib/libnsm_portCheck.so

Also, I recommend you to add 127.0.0.1 to list of master servers on
agent on your management server.
