Nice.
What can we expect from the feature called "XMPP messaging support"?

Best Regards,
Lukas

Hi!

There are new action type - "XMPP message". You can use it in a same way as SMS or email actions to send XMPP messages from event processing policy. It is also possible to execute debug console commands from XMPP-capable messenger (to do this you should map XMPP ID to user account by setting XMPP ID field in user properties, and give user "Execute commands via XMPP" right.

Best regards,
Victor

I am still getting the NetXMS Core service crash or refuse to startup. Posted to 1.2.10; then saw a new release out and thought let me try the new one first.

Greetings Victor,

We are still running v1.2.6 - is it OK to upgrade directly to 1.2.11 from this older version?

Please let me know, thanks!

Yes, it's ok to upgrade directly.

Good afternoon.

About XMPP support..
I upgraded server to 1.2.11 using amd64.deb from netxms.org/download and saw this on attempt to send XMPP message:

[22-Jan-2014 16:33:13.510] [DEBUG] *actions* Executing action 5 (AdminJab) of type XMPP MESSAGE
[22-Jan-2014 16:33:13.510] [DEBUG] *actions* cannot send XMPP message to [email protected] (server compiled without XMPP support)

Do you plan to make deb-packages with XMPP support in the future or should I migrate to self-compiled server for native XMPP messages? Also, can I set a list of addresses in the Jabber/XMPP ID field to deliver my message to several recipients?
Thank you.

Victor Kirhenshtein

Hi!

Next release will be built with XMPP support included. It is possible to specify multiple addresses in one action - they must be separated by semicolon.

Best regards,
Victor

Hi Victor,

When are you going to issue the next release ?

Victor Kirhenshtein

Most likely we will release 1.2.12 as patch release in a next few days to fix crashes reported for 1.2.10 and 1.2.11.

Best regards,
Victor

Victor,

I've yet to be able to get XMPP to work. Running 1.2.11 x64 which I just setup and installed the other day. Nothing shows in my error log. Any suggestions?
