Title: Disable Snmp polling
Post by: d-ray on January 31, 2014, 11:39:55 PM
Hi,

We are monitoring windows clients with netxms. Default they don't have snmp turned on.
So if the hosts are discovered Netxms polls also for snmp agent.
Is there a way to disable that?
Or can it be a new feature for a next release?

Regards

Denis

Hi!

To disable SNMP for node go to node properties, then "Polling" page, and check "Disable SNMP".

Best regards,
Victor

Yes but you have to do it manually for all the hosts you are monitoring?
Maybe it is easier to put it in a policy or template?

Then you can set a Automatic apply rules like on templates. If the OS is windows then disable the snmp polling.

it is just an idea....

I support this.
It should be easier to change enable/disable SNMP, NXAgent etc that you need to manually edit via option or bulk update via nxshell.

The idea with templates is good.
