Title: Applying Templates to Cluster
Post by: darshakamodi on September 05, 2011, 03:28:59 PM
Is it possible to apply a template to cluster ?

Reason is if i define data collection for a cluster, nodes will be covered and use of template will not be too much,

Rather I want a template which i can use for any setup of NetXMS and to a cluster.
e.g I have deployed Netxms to multiple locations, All have cisco routers, now if a template is there  with me for cisco, i can use cluster and apply template.

Cacti does have import/export functionality, do we have same in Netxms?? Standard configs/templates for common deployments.

Hi!

You can export/import templates. Export is not implemented in Java console yet, so you should use legacy Windows console. Go to Tools -> Export configuration, add templates you wish to export, and press OK. You will get XML file which can be imported into another NetXMS server. For import, you can use both Java and old console. Go to Tools -> Import configuration, select XML file, and system will create appropriate template objects.

Best regards,
Victor
