Title: Cisco Switch Port Description
Post by: wabbot22 on September 08, 2015, 05:39:17 PM
Hi,

it is the first time that I use NetXMS. I´ve try to get the interface description from a Cisco Switch via SNMP.
I´ve the SNMP OID and I try to configure a DCI. When I push the SNMP Walk Button everything is fine and
I can see the description´s. But after I push OK I´ve get an Error Message that the DCI Status was changed to unsupported....

I want that I can see the description (IFAlias) in the Interface table. Can anyone give me a short instruction how I can do this ?

Thanks a lot

M

Using latest realease - 2.0-RC1 - ifAlias is present in the Interface table.

I guess you are using an older version, if so, just upgrade to 2.0-RC1.

Hi,

yes, I´ve make the upgrade and now I can see the description/alias.
But how can I configure the fan  and power supply,
because I want to monitor the function of it.
