Title: Client stops responding
Post by: redlam on July 24, 2024, 05:58:25 PM
Management client 5.0.6
Windows 10

The client opens up but when I click on a node it hangs and has to be force closed. Any ideas?

The client that lives on the server seems to be fine, but the client on my desktop has developed this issue. I reinstalled the client and that fixed it for a few days, but now the problem is back.

Hi,

Is this a fresh installation on your desktop or an upgrade?
If it is an upgrade, maybe you need to delete the .nxmc folder under your user profile

It was an upgrade. I will give it a try, thank you!

At my installation I have two folders .nxmc and .nxmc4 on Windows10
There is a very old client installed (Netxms 2.0.5) where it seemes that it is using .nxmc and a newer client beginning with 4.x that was upgraded to 5.0x as next version of monitoring server which uses folder .nxmc4. Deleting .nxmc4 helped me solving same problem redlam had.

That's right, .nxms folder is for the "old" client, but since in v 4.x "new" client was introduced, it stores files in .nxmc4 folder

I have had no further issues with my client since deleting the .nxmc folder.
