Title: Connection reset by peer: socket write error
Post by: bionictiki on January 28, 2016, 12:13:56 AM
I am getting an error trying to open the admin console after installation

Windows Server 2012 Standard (x64)
SQL Server 2012 Express (Advanced x64)
Named Pipes enabled.

I was able to get passed the install using this topic:
https://www.netxms.org/forum/installation/error-applying-server-configuration-with-ms-sql-2012/msg10075/#msg10075

When I try to log into the NetXMS Console (localhost, admin, password, netxms) I am prompted to change the password. I then get the error "Cannot change password: Connection reset by peer: socket write error".

Series of events:

Launch NetXMS Console
Login (localhost, admin, password, netxms)
NetXMS Core Service shuts down.
Login hangs at Initializing extentions...: Loading Workbench
Prompt for password change.
Error Cannot change password: Connection reset by peer: socket write error.
If I click cancel the Console loads but I get socket write errors for every event/command.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

After troubleshooting the 64 bit version is still giving me the error. The 32 bit version seems to work fine.

Hi,

do the server crash after that or just drops connection? Also, please try 2.0.2 release that just came out.

Best regards,
