Title: Invalid Subnet Issues
Post by: LogicalNZ on March 31, 2020, 09:05:50 AM
The more I use this the more I'm getting frustrated with it!

how do you tell netXMS to ignore the sub-net address?

I use 172.16.X.X with a /24 which seems to cause NetXMS to alarm. I have looked in the EPP rules and cant see anything? How to I turn this off please?

With thanks

You can disable this in Configuration->EventProcessingPolicy
#7 Generate alarm when incorrect network mask detected on interface ->Filter->EditCondition

Condition->rule is disabled
Events->SYS_INCORRECT_NETMASK

We had the same issue with 10.x.x.0/24.  if it finds a single unit with a /8 (or /16 in your case) it creates a subnet in Entire Network (or zone if enabled) that it then matches first.
