Title: Issue with Subnet discovery
Post by: tolat on April 19, 2012, 03:52:23 PM
I hope someone here will have solution for me.

I installed Netxms on a server on a different subnet from my work station's subnet

Netxms was able to auto discover all the nodes with its own subnet/ip range but could not discover any workstation, even if I add them manually, they are still registered to be offline.
The Netxms server is on the same domain with the workstations. I have added the ip rand and subnets under Network discovery config.
Any clue please?

Thanks

How these subnets are connected to each other? Can it be that there is firewall in between which blocks connections between NetXMS server and workstation subnet?

Best regards,
Victor

Thanks Victor, There is no firewall between the server and workstations.

The workstations are not in the same subnet with the Netxms server.  (Netxms - 172.16.10.0 while workstations are on 192.168.10.0 subnet) like i said before they are in the same domain.

I have added one workstation manually but its see it as 'Node Down'.

What do you think?

Please run status and configuration polls manually on this workstation (by right clicking it and selecting Poll -> Status and Poll -> Configuration) and post poller output.

Best regards,
Victor
