Title: Monitor Homeoffice Performance but not the node up and down events
Post by: LBKRE on October 29, 2015, 08:46:26 AM
Hello,
i "discovered" my Network so i have all nodes in netxms. I like to know if there is a Server down but i dont want to know if a PC goes down. How can i easily get this done in netxms.

And also:

I want to Monitor my homeoffice PCs (ping time, up and downtime) but i dont want get alarms if a node shutsdown.

Greeting

Ludger

Hi,

you can filter out events from nodes you are not interested in in event processing policy. For example, you can put all important servers into special container and in EPP filter out (action "atop processing") all SYS_NODE_DOWN, SYS_IF_DOWN, etc. events if node is not in that container.

Best regards,
Victor

i gave it a try and made it like in the attached screenshot
"Kernsysteme" are the core Systems which i want to notice the node down Event.

Hi,

instead of terminating (probably non-existent) alarm for non-core systems you can just use "stop processing" (set by selecting checkbox on Actions property page for the rule). But otherwise looks correct.
