I am new to netxms and I cannot figure out how to adjust a windows node so I can monitor cpu, memory, disk space etc.

can some one help me with this?

Please read https://www.netxms.org/documentation/adminguide/ (https://www.netxms.org/documentation/adminguide/)
This will give you a basic understanding on how netxms works.
It also tells you how to monitor and how to configure it.
