Title: Monitoring of Exchange via Proxy Agent
Post by: Athena on April 02, 2015, 08:54:17 PM
Hello,

I'm a new user of NetXMS, and I'm trying to implement it to monitor customers servers from my office.

I have installed a Proxy Agent on server A on the remote LAN, and via this Agent I can monitor server B (Agent itself and SNMP).
However, server A is not an Exchange server, and server B is.

Is it possible to monitor Exchange server status (alive or not) from my NetXMS server via Agent on sevrer A ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If its enough to see if the proper processes are running, you can use this to monitor the Exchange processes on the server using SNMP:

You can also do this using the Agent.

You can also monitor the the node is accepting SMTP, using a service check if needed.
