Title: Monitoring traps from a propriatary system
Post by: ctlagent7 on November 11, 2009, 10:30:16 PM
We have a mobile access 430 device that runs a propriatary operating system where the netxms agent cannot be loaded.  The 430 system has a Mib database that has been compiled into the Mib tree on the nextxms console. However, traps don't seem to be recognized by the netwxms conssole?  Will netxms be able to pick up traps from this system that is not running the standard netxms agent? If this will work, is there a trick to getting the traps not to be mismatched?

Hello!

In this topic you could find some information about custom trap configuration: https://www.netxms.org/forum/index.php/topic,9.0.html (https://www.netxms.org/forum/index.php/topic,9.0.html).

As first step in troubleshooting, set server's variable LogAllSNMPTraps to 1 and check if traps are received by server at all.

Best regards,
Victor
