Title: NetXMS Management Client Keeps Crashing whenever I restart my laptop
Post by: Kobe on December 17, 2025, 04:32:31 PM
Every time I restart the laptop or the management client it wouldn't connect and say "Connect timed out". I have been using it to connect to devices via SMNP which would work, however it would lose connection to management client as soon as I restart, any ideas of how I could trouble shoot this. I have it installed on a windows 10 Pro laptop and the database I'm using is PostgreSQL 14.

First thing to check is how NetXMS Core Windows service is doing. NetXMS Core is the server process to which management client connects. Does it appear as "running" in Windows services?
If it's not, you can check it's log, it's typically in C:\NetXMS\log\netxmsd.log (you can check location in C:\NetXMS\etc\netxmsd.conf server configuration file). Log should give some insight in what's happening, may be it's waiting for the database or something.
