Title: "Set peer ..." setting doesn't persist
Post by: sinisap on February 18, 2025, 02:05:49 PM
Hi
If "Set peer .." is used to link two nodes it reflects correctly in a network map, e.g. a link gets automatically created between these two nodes. But after a while the Set peer setting disappears and the link gets removed from the map. Is it possible that active or passive network discovery jobs remove it?

Server version, 5.1.3 on windows

Thanks

Kind regards
Sid

Topology information is updated on topology poll. So if one of your nodes reports that this port is linked to some other device, manually set peer will be removed.
You can try running topology poll manually on these nodes to see which one of them does that.

Sorry don't mean to highjack the post but are the manual peers supposed to auto  create links in maps ? I have not had any luck when trying to connect Ubiquiti devices together AP -> Client using set peer on wireless interfaces. The links never show on the map. Using 5.1.3 as well
