When i add a node (windows server) running an agent and assign a tempalte for DCI's, i can also see some DCI paramters configured on the node itself. When i check the "template" column of the DCI configuration of the node itself, i can see parameters coming from the template definition and the nodename itself.
Where do the DCI parameters on the node itself come from?

Without an actual screenshot of what you are seeing it's a bit hard to tell, but I'm guessing those were created by instance discovery. The {instance} DCI was assigned as part of the template, but the ones generated on the node based on that {instance} DCI as part of instance discovery aren't part of the template, they'll show your node name instead.

i've attached a screenshot to clarify the DCI items i cannot fully explain.
I'm not following you on the part "the ones generated on the node based on that {instance} DCI as part of instance discovery".
Can you elaborate a bit further maybe?

The DCIs marked in the attached image are Instance DCIs. These are in your template and assigned to each node that has the template assigned. They do not collect data themselves.
They are used to create additional DCIs on the nodes via the Instance Discovery process. These newly created DCIs are specific to the node.
In short, what you are seeing is perfectly normal.
I recommend reading up on Instance Discovery: https://www.netxms.org/documentation/adminguide/data-collection.html#instance

ahhh ok so they do come from the template orginally. I got confused by the column name being "template" and a node name showing up over there besides the actual template name used. I'll read up a bit more/again using suggested documentation.

Thanks!
