Title: wrong disk space
Post by: surya on November 14, 2007, 09:00:23 AM
I had configured a data collection item of  "used disk space percentage " with parameter:    Disk.FreePerc(/dev/hda1) . It shows up as 46 % when it is actually 3 % .I have seen that  it shows the same value for all other partions . I have tried this on linux redhat 3 enterprise and fedora 5 . It gives me wrong values . Is this because my operating systems redhat 3 and fedora 5 are too old ?
Will this be resolved if i upgrade my OS ?

Try to use mount point name instead of device name.

Update: it looks like a bug, i just reproduced it on fresh Ubuntu.

the values of "percentage of used disk" are not exact there is atleast 6% difference
