Hi

Can someone please guide me about saving my L2 MAP,

I want to save my autocreated L2map as in the attached map (L2MAP1)

my problem is that even after i take off the tick from enable automatic layout and save the map. after a while it goes back to (L2MAP2), im confused as to why the save button does not work

Hi,

could it be that objects are being deleted from the map and then re-added? Positions looks like default positions for newly added objects.

Hi,

Maybe the L2 MAP learns that the node is down and takes it off the map and then adds the node again when its available, if that is the case then is it possible for the L2 MAP to be converted to a custom MAP, or make the node stay once its added automatically on the MAP, that way we don't have to create a lot of MAPs manually for our network of 976 switches, I really really loved the way NetXMS builds the MAP automatically,

in fact NetXMS  helped us to fix topology errors in our WhatsUP Gold MAP because of the Automatic L2 MAP feature.

Hi,

server should not remove device from the map just because it's down. But if topology information was removed, then it will disappear. What is discovery protocol used for those devices with wrong locations?

Hi

The discovery protocol is SNMP, and all the devices are Managed L2 Switches, All i care of monitoring is link between the switches, the link utilization details on the map link is an added bonus,

Besides the above issue, what i'm seeing is that one needs to click on the map on the web-GUI for the map to refresh the status, can this be set to an interval lets say every 1 or 2 Minutes, cause if i do an F5 i need to re-login to the web interface
